Phusa Therapy

The Phusa Therapy twisting tourniquet method is a technique that converts the twisting force into a compressive force around a limb. The tourniquet device is designed to create a controllable compression force based on the number of twists, making it highly effective at creating the necessary pressure to drain lymph fluid. This is done by applying the tourniquet to create a gradually decreasing pressure from the distal end of the limb (arm/leg) towards the proximal end, approximately 80-50 mmHg. The tourniquet is twisted and held for 15 minutes, then released for 5 minutes. This is repeated for about 10-15 cycles per day. After each tourniquet session, cold packs are applied to the area that was compressed. Patients must also avoid certain foods, abstaining from meat, offal, skin, bones, tendons, blood, shrimp paste, fish sauce, eggs, and milk. They must eat a vegetarian diet during the therapy period.
Treating lymphedema with the Phusa Therapy method is a new innovation that uses a simple yet highly effective principle. It is based on the fundamental principle of Compression Therapy to continuously induce the collapse and atrophy of lymphatic vessels. It can satisfactorily reduce swelling within a short period, helping many patients who suffer from swelling and various complications find a solution. Patients have a much better quality of life after the swelling subsides.
